Terms of Service - Joy Bandit

Welcome to Joy Bandit, operated by Maple Lane LLC (“Joy Bandit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Joy Bandit website, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Joy Bandit.
1. What Joy Bandit Is
Joy Bandit provides a platform for creating and sending thoughtful, encouraging, or meaningful messages—sometimes anonymously—through email or other digital delivery methods. Messages may be written by users or generated with the assistance of AI tools.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Joy Bandit.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
Joy Bandit is not intended for children under the age of 13.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Joy Bandit to send content that is:
Illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful
Sexually explicit or pornographic
Intended to bully, intimidate, or harm others
Misleading, impersonating another person, or fraudulent
Spam, mass unsolicited messaging, or commercial solicitation
We reserve the right to refuse, block, remove, or stop delivery of any message that violates these Terms or conflicts with the intended purpose of the Service.
We are not obligated to review content before delivery but reserve the right to do so if necessary.
4. Anonymity
Joy Bandit allows senders to choose whether to reveal their identity.
If anonymity is selected, the sender’s identity will not be shared with the recipient through the message itself.
Joy Bandit may retain internal records (such as email addresses or transaction data) for operational, legal, safety, or compliance purposes.
Absolute anonymity cannot be guaranteed in cases of misuse, fraud, or legal requirements.
5. Message Delivery & Scheduling
Joy Bandit makes reasonable efforts to deliver messages as requested. However, we do not guarantee:
Delivery to a recipient’s inbox (messages may be filtered as spam or blocked)
Exact delivery timing for scheduled messages
That a recipient will open, read, or respond to a message
Joy Bandit is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect email addresses, user input, scheduling selections, or recipient-side email filtering.
6. AI-Assisted Content
Some messages may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence.
AI-generated content is provided “as is.”
You are responsible for reviewing and approving message content before sending.
Joy Bandit is not responsible for interpretations, emotional responses, or outcomes resulting from AI-generated or user-submitted content.
7. Payments & Refunds
Some features of the Service may require payment.
Prices are displayed prior to purchase.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
Due to the digital and time-sensitive nature of the Service, all sales are final unless otherwise stated.
8. User Content & Marketing Use
You retain ownership of any content you submit through Joy Bandit.
By using the Service, you grant Joy Bandit a limited, non-exclusive license to process, format, store, deliver, and display your content as necessary to operate the Service.
You also grant Joy Bandit permission to use anonymized and non-identifying excerpts of submitted messages for marketing, promotional, educational, or illustrative purposes (such as examples on our website, emails, or social media), unless you explicitly opt out.
We will never publicly associate your name, email address, or other identifying information with a message without your explicit permission.
Messages submitted by users under the age of 18 will only be used for marketing purposes in anonymized, non-identifying form.
9. Intellectual Property
All Joy Bandit branding, designs, logos, website content, and original materials are owned by Joy Bandit or its licensors and may not be used without permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property to users.
10. Privacy
Your use of Joy Bandit is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Joy Bandit is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free service.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joy Bandit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, emotional, or special damages arising from:
Use or inability to use the Service
Message content or delivery outcomes
Recipient reactions or interpretations
Joy Bandit’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service, if any.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if we believe these Terms have been violated or if continued use presents risk to others or the platform.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
